American Syrian Political Action Committee

Who We Are

The American Syrian Political Action Committee (ASPAC) is a non-partisan organization dedicated to amplifying the voice of Syrian Americans in the United States political process. We advocate for policies that promote democracy, human rights, stability, and prosperity in Syria while strengthening civic engagement within the Syrian-American community.

Our Mission

ASPAC exists to:

  • Support candidates and policies aligned with democratic values and human rights
  • Elevate Syrian-American representation in U.S. policymaking
  • Advocate for a free, stable, and sovereign Syria
  • Build long-term political influence through civic engagement and education

Our Vision

We envision a future where:

  • Syrian Americans are a recognized and influential voice in U.S. politics
  • U.S. foreign policy reflects the aspirations of the Syrian people
  • Syria emerges as a democratic, inclusive, and prosperous nation

What We Do

Advocacy

We engage with policymakers at the federal and state levels to advance legislation and policies that support:

  • Human rights and accountability
  • Humanitarian assistance and reconstruction
  • Democratic governance and civil society

Political Engagement

  • Endorse and support candidates aligned with our mission
  • Mobilize Syrian-American voters nationwide
  • Provide a platform for community voices

Community Empowerment

  • Educate Syrian Americans on civic participation
  • Encourage leadership development
  • Build a network of engaged and informed advocates

Why It Matters

The Syrian-American community has a unique perspective shaped by lived experience, resilience, and a deep commitment to justice. Yet, this voice remains underrepresented in U.S. politics. ASPAC bridges that gap—transforming community strength into meaningful political impact.

* PACs can give $5,000 to a candidate committee per election (primary, general or special). They can also give up to $15,000 annually to any national party committee, and $5,000 annually to any other PAC. Contributions from corporations, foreign nationals and minors are prohibited. (Contributions from US permanent residents/green cardholders, however, are permitted.) The maximum contribution per individual is $5,000 per year and up to $10,000 per year for couples per PAC.
